EFT Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a meridian based therapy used to balance the energy system using a simple algorithm or sequence of tapping on key acupressure points on the face, upper torso and hands. Relief of emotional states such as fear and sadness, as well as physical pain is possible through balancing of the energy in the meridian system associated with the mental-emotional imbalance. It is based on the premise that every thought creates an emotion which flows up and down our meridians. These emotions are stored as energy patterns. Negative thoughts create a disruption in the flow of energy in the body which in turn creates the negative emotion. Tapping with an affirmation helps clear the energy pattern and relieve the emotion or pain.
